Information we receive

If you use an enquiry form, we receive the information shown in that form, such as your name, email address, country, organisation, requested service and message. If you email us directly, we receive the information you choose to include in that correspondence.

The initial Nutrition enquiry form is not intended for diagnoses, medication details, medical records or other detailed health information. Please do not submit such information there.

Why we use it

• To respond to your enquiry and discuss requested services.
• To take steps at your request before entering into a contract.
• To manage a professional relationship, agreements and legal obligations.

Depending on the context, the legal basis is your request, performance of a contract, a legal obligation or our legitimate interest in managing business communications.

Business-to-business outreach

We may contact a limited company or another corporate organisation where its business activities are relevant to our professional food-industry services. We use general corporate addresses wherever possible, such as an information, enquiries, sales or technical-team mailbox. We do not use purchased consumer lists for this purpose.

Contact details may come from the organisation's public website, a public corporate directory or a relevant industry association. We may record the organisation name, business sector, public business email address, source URL, the reason the service may be relevant, and basic communication status such as sent, replied, undeliverable or opted out.

Our purpose is to introduce a relevant professional service and determine whether the organisation wishes to discuss it. We rely on our legitimate interest in developing relevant business relationships after considering necessity, reasonable expectations and the limited impact of a proportionate business communication. This assessment does not override your rights.

Every initial outreach message identifies SIA EDINGOLD Baltic / IB FoodTech and provides a simple way to object. You may object to direct marketing at any time by replying to the message or emailing info@ibfoodtech.com. We will stop direct marketing to that address and keep only the minimum suppression record needed to honour the objection.

Prospect research records that do not lead to a business relationship are reviewed and deleted or refreshed within 12 months. Correspondence connected with an enquiry, contract or legal obligation may be retained for the period necessary for that purpose.

Retention and sharing

We keep correspondence only for as long as needed for the enquiry, professional relationship and applicable legal requirements. Information is shared only with service providers or professional advisers where necessary and subject to appropriate safeguards, or where required by law. Form submissions are processed by our website hosting and contracted email-delivery providers solely to deliver the enquiry to us.

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data, or object to certain processing. You may also contact the Latvian Data State Inspectorate or another competent supervisory authority.
